Heavenly Letters

There is a red mailbox near our front door. 

A mom in the local community reached out to us to help her autistic son deal with a death in the family. He didn’t understand why his Nana was gone and wanted to write to her. Pastor wrote a letter explaining that Nana was in heaven and missed her grandson very much, sent it out to the family, and it was received with great excitement.

This blossomed into an idea to provide a permanent place where families, especially those who are dealing with learning disabilities, could send letters to God or to loved ones who had passed on. The mailbox was purchased and installed shortly after. 

Please spread the word if there is anyone in your personal circles that could take advantage of this opportunity.

This is a great way for us to reach out to an important part of our community. We can proclaim the Gospel; and maybe become a home for people who might have trouble finding a church family.
